As much as we always try to save all teeth, unfortunately a tooth removal is sometimes required.
This can be necessary if your tooth is broken or decayed beyond repair. Sometimes it is performed if there is not enough space in your jaw for all your teeth (crowding) and you are about to have them straightened.
This is a procedure that patients can be frightened of but like with any other dental procedure, we always make sure you are given adequate local anaesthetic to numb the area, ensuring that you feel comfortable.
