Root canal procedures are often offered following an episode of toothache. 
This is perhaps why a lot of people become anxious when they hear the words root canal treatment. In reality, a root canal filling feels like a longer filling appointment

This treatment is indicated when bacteria have reached the nerve inside of the tooth leading to infection.
Like all other dental procedures, this is carried out under local anaesthetic, so you do not feel anything.
It is usually done over two appointments .  Canals that have become infectedf with bacteria are disinfected and then filled.
This is done using m high magnification and modern instruments to ensure elimination of infection and pain.
